Cash Flow University (CFU) is an options trading education and community platform founded with a single goal: to give everyday traders access to the same structured, risk-managed strategies used by professional options sellers. Stephen Manning, President
Stephen Manning is the President of Cash Flow University and the author of the CFU blog. He is an entrepreneur and a lifelong investor. Stephen is 48 and lives in Calgary, Alberta, with his wife and their three kids, and he is an active member of his church and his community. He graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta's Alberta School of Business in only three years, with a 3.8 GPA and a major in Management Information Systems (MIS).
Our Mission
Too many traders lose money chasing speculative plays without a defined strategy or risk management plan. CFU exists to change that. We provide real-time trade alerts with exact entries, position sizing and a stated exit plan, whether that plan is a stop, a roll, or carrying to expiry, so members can see the risk before entering. Not every trade uses a stop, and some structures carry open-ended risk we name explicitly. Every alert includes a clear rationale explaining why the trade was selected and how it fits within our broader market thesis.
Our Methodology
CFU focuses on high-probability, income-generating options strategies including covered calls, cash-secured puts, and credit spreads across liquid stocks and ETFs. Our approach is built on:
- Risk stated on every trade: defined-risk spreads are the core of the book, and where a position carries open-ended risk we name it
- Systematic position sizing: capital allocation rules that protect your portfolio
- Probability-based entries: we trade where the math favors the seller
- Transparent performance tracking: win rates, return on risk, and full trade history published openly
